How long does it take to make a custom book?
It really depends on the type of book and how much time you need to review proofs. We average 8-12 weeks from receipt of resources to book delivery, and always work towards a deadline if you have one. In fact, we can recommend a quicker book style if you have less time.

What size can you make my book?
You can pick any book dimension within 11x17".

Can you help me write my book?
Yes. We now offer a full writing service. Just ask us if you'd like to include writing in your book estimate.

Will you edit my book?
Yes. Regardless of who does the writing, we will have a professional proofreader edit your text to catch grammar, spelling, and consistency errors.

If I want a family tree in my book how do I do that?
We'll provide you a worksheet to fill in with your family information.

How do I get my images scanned?
You can scan them yourself or have us do it. We now offer great rates and quick turnarounds for scanning. Ask us if you'd like to include scanning in your book estimate. However, if you have over 500 images and can wait 4-6 weeks we recommend using ScanCafe.

What size do my images need to be scanned at?
It's important your images are scanned correctly. If you choose to scan them yourself, ask us for scanning specs before getting started.

How are your books printed?
We print all our books on a top-of-the line digital printer called an HP Indigo Press. We have selected several papers for our books and will specify the best one for your particular project.

Can I add extras like ribbon bookmarks, pockets, fold-out pages, etc?
Yes. Depending on the type of book, we like to include a ribbon bookmark and CD pocket. We can also add pockets, fold-out pages, interleaving pages, and other specialty features. Just tell us what you have in mind and we'll provide an estimate.

How are your books bound?
We handbind all our books, employing traditional bookbinding tools and techniques. These are handmade items so it's important to realize that, like all handmade goods, no two are exactly the same. You might see slight variations between books, but they're all equally beautiful and filled with character.

Do you color correct my images?
Not usually. Occasionally, we will retouch or color correct an image if we think it really needs it. But in general you should provide us images as you'd like to see them.

Do you offer photo restoration?
Yes, just get in touch. We can retouch and clean up old photographs that may have cracks or damages.

Can you make blank books, gift books, or wedding guest books?

Can I design my own book?
