beautiful
. . . . .
Today I designed a book documenting a home birth. Here’s one of the images - mom + baby just hours after the baby’s arrival. Beautiful.

We just can’t get enough of Caroline Joy Photography’s packaging! Look at this delightful little package she sent us with a CD of images she took of an accordion book. So lovely and creative. Thanks, Caroline!
Check out images of the accordion book we did for her on her blog.

alaskan gold rush book
. . . . .
This was quite a project. Cousins Judie and Maureen decided to write a story about their Swedish grandparents who became successful gold miners in the Alaskan Gold Rush.
There were so many amazing photos and stories, and these ladies did a beautiful job pulling it all together. Here are just a few of the pages…so hard to represent in photos what this year plus long project encompassed. Suffice it to say, we are all very proud of the end result.
They named their book “Nuggets from the Sluice Box” - a sluice box is a gold mining apparatus. And the nuggets, in this case, are the incredible stories of their grandparent’s lives in the remote Alaskan wilderness.

megan + alex wedding book
. . . . .
I totally love this wedding book. I love that Megan chose bold colors - black, white, red - for her wedding and I also loved the silhouettes she used for the invitations, programs, etc. We incorporated both into her book, and I think it worked perfectly.

pregnancy to toddler book
. . . . .
I’m on a baby theme it seems. Here is an oh-so-sweet book we did for Boulder photographer Julie Afflerbaugh. The book incorporates 3 photo sessions - pregnancy, newborn, and toddler. What a sweet collection to keep for your child!

vacation + exciting news
. . . . .
I’m on vacation! As you read this, I’m in Spain with my little family drinking vino, tasting tapas, and taking siestas. Life is very good.
My cousin Emma is officially in charge at Good Stock, so if you need anything these next 2 weeks, she’s your gal.
Also, I scheduled some blog posts of recent book projects I’ve been meaning to share, so check back here even though I’m out.
And finally…I have a teaser for some exciting news! We shipped some books on Friday that you will see in December on newsstands! That’s all I can say right now, but we’re very excited about it.
