80th birthday book
You’ll love this one!
Eric and his siblings wanted to honor their Dad’s 80th with a book. They wanted it to be simple, clean, and meaningful. So here’s what we did.
We named the book Zeda (what the family calls their Dad) then organized all the photos by decade. We added a biography at the beginning and scattered memories from the siblings throughout.
For the binding we opted for a soft leather cover and a blind debossed title - such a great look in the leather.
And here are a few pages. This one shows the very simple family tree underneath the family photo.
And this page has a quote about Zeda and his wife’s first date, at the opera La Boheme. He left in the middle to go call off his next date for that night!
I loved the memories and thoughts from the siblings.
Here’s an example of a decades chapter page. I did a little reverse image on the facing page for some visual interest.
And my favorite part? Eric tells me his Dad loved it and his Mom went “gaga”! That makes me very happy.

Kim-this look amazing! Totally bueatiful. I love the blind deboss–just classy. I think the leather was a nice way to go, a total departure from your others hardbound books. Also, the reflection on the chapter page is really cool–excellent idea. It’s great to see that all that scanning paid off.
I hope to see it in person someday!
